Just thought I'd post a picture of probably the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever made. My mom always made the best, and I keep trying to get there, and these were close so I thought I'd share them with everyone...enjoy!! hehehehe
(click on the pic to get the full effect of just how scrumptious they truly are)

Christmas 2007

OK, I know it's been a while (ok, a loooong time) since I've posted anything, so I thought I'd post a couple pictures from Christmas Day. We spent the afternoon at the group home my dad is living in and exchanged gifts and ate a few goodies. We had a very nice day, and I think my dad did also.

This Girl is Funny!

I really need a lesson on how to post things on this blog off the internet. Any willing tutors out there? Anyhoo, until I figure out how to post the actual video, I thought I'd share the link to this video that I saw on the Carter family blog. This girl is funny! I've had similar experiences to what she's relating to her audience ... her comedy is very true to life!

Garlic Crust Pizza Makes Me Go WOOF!!

We don't really feed our dog pizza -- he just loves to lick the box. It's gotta be the garlic smell from the crust that makes him go crazy. Chase stands there with his chin rested on Les's knee, waiting for Les to finish eating, hoping he'll get even the tiniest morsel. Well, the pathetic puppy dog look works because he ends up with the pizza box every time!

Dad's 80th Birthday!!

Today we celebrated my dad's 80th birthday -- woohoo. Thanks to everyone who attended, as it means a lot to our family. Support is always appreciated! I hope y'all had a lot of fun, and I know it lifted my dad's spirits since he's there at the care center. The kids in the pix are Katelin, Elizabeth, Zachary, Jaclyn Whaley, and Jacob Taylor.
The Costco carrot cake was pretty good, too!

Neil

Sadly, this week, my best friend Carole's husband, Neil, passed away after a courageous 2-year battle with an aggressive form of T-cell lymphoma. Neil was a lot of fun to be around, and he and Carole lived life to the fullest together in their travels and all the other recreational activities they participated in. We will miss him a lot.
