82 YEARS YOUNG

My dad turned 82 this week! We celebrated with cake and ice cream and had a nice visit with him. My dad cannot believe he is 82 -- he just shakes his head like "that's just wrong." It's so funny... We love our dad!

I found this picture and thought you might get a laugh out of it! I would not put this on my car, but it is funny!

South Mountain Park

Today we decided to take a little trek up to the top of South Moutain and check out the view. I would love to go up there at night sometime, but not sure I want to drive on that tiny, windy road in the dark! Has anybody driven that road at night?

If You Think This Is Bad, You Should've Seen The Other Guy!!

The real story is: Tuesday night my dad fell in the bathroom and hit his forehead which resulted in a HUGE bump that is covered up in this picture by a large band-aid. The purple bruising around his eyes did not show up until two days later. We took him to the ER and they did a CAT scan of his head, and he is fine. He never had a headache or anything. We took him to lunch today and, as you can imagine, he's getting all kinds of stares and comments. Poor guy :( He just laughs and makes a joke about it.) I don't think I'd be able to laugh if it was me...

I wish my mom was still here with us ... We love you!

CHEER UP!!

TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS,
REMEMBER YOUR ABC’s

Avoid negative sources, people, places, things and habits.
Believe in yourself.
Consider things from every angle.
Don’t give up, and don’t give in.
Enjoy life today; yesterday is gone, and tomorrow may never come.
Family and friends are hidden treasures; seek them and enjoy their riches.
Give more than you planned to give.
Hang on to your dreams.
Ignore those who try to discourage you.
Just do it!
Keep on trying. No matter how hard it seems, it will get easier.
Love yourself first and most.
Make it happen.
Never lie, cheat or steal. Always strike a fair deal.
Open your eyes, and see things as they really are.
Practice makes perfect.
Quitters never win, and winners never quit.
Read, study and learn about everything important in your life.
Stop procrastinating.
Take control of your own destiny.
Understand yourself in order to better understand others.
Visualize it.
Want it more than anything.
Xcelerate your efforts.
You are unique of all of God’s creations; nothing can replace you.
Zero in on your target, and go for it!
The orange smiley face is a card my mom sent Grandma Cora, and I found the ABC's from an old "Dear Abby" column my mom kept from way back and thought I'd post it here for others to ponder or be inspired by.
